Nicolas LAFITTE

Nicolas studied electrical engineering at the University of Bordeaux (France) first and then started research in microtechnology in LIMMS (CNRS/University of Tokyo joint laboratory, Japan) and in FEMTO-ST (CNRS/University of Franche-Comté, France). He obtained his Ph.D. degree for his work on the modelling and the control of MEMS tweezers for characterizations of bioreactions on DNA molecules, in 2012. He continued working at University of Tokyo, in microtechnology for the design of MEMS fabricated in IC-compatible technology (with Stanley Electric Co. Ltd. until 2014) and for the development of MEMS mirror for new tunable laser and medical OCT applications (with Santec Corp. until 2017). He joined in 2018 Fluigent (Paris, France) and the H2020 European project HoliFAB which deals with the industrialization of microfluidic technologies.
