Jiří Kůs is the president of Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association, whose establishment he initiated. He graduated from electrical engineering and later also sociology and psychology. He worked over 20 years in industrial automation. In 2012 he founded nanoSPACE, the first company in the world manufacturing anti-dust mite nanofibre bedding. He popularizes nanotechnology and the concept of the third industrial revolution and sharing society. His vision is that of a world where energy is decentralized and for free, there are self-driving electric cars in the streets and people’s health is monitored by nanosensors.

Abstract: Nanotechnology has a lot to offer to the automotive industry. It can make cars much safer, cheaper and very comfortable, even for users with heavy allergy. Nanotechnology can protect from thieves and crooks. Nanotechnology has the potential to accelerate the development of electromobility. For the Czech Republic, nanotechnology is a great chance to keep its position among the European automotive industry leaders in the 21st century.
